Professional Gambling Addiction Treatment at No Cost
For most people gambling can be a fun activity without harmful effects. But for others, gambling isn’t a game and has a serious impact on your health, you career and your relationships. You are not alone, problem gambling affects more than one million Californians.
Gambling addiction specialists affiliated with 1-800-GAMBLER hotline are trained, licensed therapists like myself who provide confidential therapy for free through the California Office of Problem Gambling (OPG). This service is not just available to the gamblers themselves. Affected individuals (Parents, siblings, spouses, etc.) are also eligible for no-cost, professional therapy. The funding for OPG is provided by the California State Assembly, established under Section 4369 of the Welfare and Institutions Code and is currently operating within the California Department of Public Health.
